Civic Drone gives his vision for the future of drones

WORKFLY, through its President and Vice President, M.GUILHOT Michel and Edouard, was interviewed by Atlantico, information website. They gave their views on the future of UAVs and possible fields of application aside the controversial field of "military".

Not only for war: everything to which today are drones

After photographing almost every street in the world, Google is interested in civilian drones, able to slide around. Much more than a gadget, this innovation could be a whole section of tomorrow's economy and benefit the entire of society. Architecture, fire, power lines ... The list is endless.

Drone Champ Libre 2

Atlantico's inteview:

Atlantico Google, after the success of Street View, is interested in the start-up American Skycatch that develops a variety of tools to equip civilian drones. What use the web giant could it do?

Michel Edouard Guilhot: Google is not the first to support multi-rotors. The interest is such that many investors will rush by mimicry on this new Eldorado. The example of the Internet bubble is feared. Google seeks to expand Street View from the sky at an altitude suitable for tourist purposes, that is to say, a few meters or tens of meters, to better see the scenery, monuments and reliefs on a screen computer.

Today, in what areas other than military drones can they serve? The possibilities are endless they?

The civil UAV market is the larger of the two. Applications, without endless, are more numerous every day. The needs are many and require appropriate responses asking itself a lot of imagination. Develop a different UAV system for each function would quickly become unmanageable.
So far, we have exploited the earth 2D from the ground and air space, but almost always above 300 m altitude. However, the part a little above the ground to about 150 meters was abandoned. We now begin to explore the applications in this area never again exploited by man. We're just starting to use the UAV as a working tool. For economic and safety reasons, it will become essential.

The civil UAV Will it revolutionize society as a whole? Political and economic decision-makers they aware of the opportunities and savings that are available to them?

Yes, no doubt the majority of our fifty associates and ourselves, the drone will revolutionize civil society for the next twenty years. And of course, no politicians are unaware of the consequences of these technologies. That said, one is better realized in France than elsewhere, because this is our home for the first time legislation has been devoted to civilian drones.

It will evolve and we know that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is aware. However, they can only be cautious, and grow little by little, as the inventors and manufacturers demonstrate their potential civilian drones. The future is to those who understand and work: dreaming then work the time it takes to realize his dreams, and demonstrate its utility. This could be our motto.
Anyone interested in the world and wish to participate in the family Civic Drone is invited to contact: beneficiaries customer service and wish to have the best drone answer to their problem, people wanting to offer services drones, countries or regions wish to develop their regional economies, technical partners willing to provide answers to very specific issues, private investors wishing to participate in this global project, or regional, as appropriate, etc.. The French can afford not to despair for the future of their children, involved in the creation of wealth, major innovations opening up new markets.

In the future, the sky will he saturated by drones? What are the challenges in terms of security?

The civil UAV become a vehicle moving man as safer than the current robot car flying car. First, because the cars drive on a restricted part of the soil, 2D - while there is much more room in the air,
3D - then because they are the men who drive the cars - while self-drones flying. Accurate to the centimeter GPS, sensors, lenticular our drone, robustness and parachute will make it a very safe product and if it will be practical as well as its competitors cousins, indispensable.
